Camera Setup Guide
Follow these steps to connect your camera to CamHiPro and start monitoring.
Before you begin: Make sure your camera is powered on and your phone is connected to your WiFi network.
Step 1: Prepare Your Camera
- Unbox your camera and connect it to a power source
- Wait for the indicator light to start flashing (usually red or blue)
- If the light doesn't flash, press and hold the reset button for 5-10 seconds
Step 2: Add Camera in CamHiPro App
- Open the CamHiPro app on your phone
- Tap the "+" button or "Add Device" option
- Select your camera model from the list
- Grant necessary permissions (camera, location) when prompted
Step 3: Connect to WiFi
- Choose your WiFi network from the list
- Enter your WiFi password carefully
- The app will generate a QR code or send WiFi credentials to the camera
- If using QR code: Hold your phone 6-8 inches from the camera lens
- Wait for the camera to confirm connection (beep or light change)
Step 4: Configure Camera Settings
- Give your camera a memorable name (e.g., "Front Door", "Backyard")
- Set your timezone for accurate timestamps
- Configure video quality settings based on your preference
- Enable motion detection and alerts
Step 5: Test Your Camera
- View the live feed to ensure video is working
- Test two-way audio if your camera supports it
- Walk in front of the camera to test motion detection
- Check that you receive notifications on your phone
Setup Complete
Your camera is now connected and ready to use. You can access it anytime from the CamHiPro app.
Troubleshooting Setup Issues
Camera Won't Connect to WiFi
- Verify your WiFi password is correct
- Ensure you're using a 2.4GHz network (most cameras don't support 5GHz)
- Move the camera closer to your router during setup
- Restart your router and try again
QR Code Not Scanning
- Adjust the distance between phone and camera (6-8 inches optimal)
- Ensure good lighting in the room
- Increase your phone's screen brightness
- Clean the camera lens
Camera Shows Offline
- Check if your internet connection is working
- Verify the camera is powered on
- Try restarting the camera
- Re-add the camera if problem persists
