WiFi Camera Troubleshooting

If your camera shows "connecting" or "disconnected" in blue text in the CamHiPro app

1. Check Camera Power

PTZ Camera:

Unplug the camera and plug it back in. Check to see if the camera rotates on startup.

Stationary Bullet Camera:

Cover the light sensor on the front of the camera (just underneath the main lens). You should see a ring of red lights appear and hear the camera 'click' into night mode.

2. WiFi Speed Test

Follow these steps to test your WiFi speed:

  1. Stand next to the camera with your mobile phone
  2. Connect to your home WiFi network (same as camera)
  3. Open a web browser and go to fast.com
  4. Click "Show more info" after the initial test
  5. Check the Upload Speed

Required: At least 2Mbps upload + 1Mbps per additional device on WiFi

If speeds are too low, consider hardwiring to router or moving camera closer to router.

3. Factory Reset & Reconnect

Reset Process:

  1. Locate small black button on cable (may have plastic cap)
  2. Hold button for 30 seconds
  3. Wait for camera to restart

Reconnection Steps:

  1. Connect phone to "IPCAM_****" network (password: 01234567)
  2. Open CamHiPro app
  3. Check camera is online (username/password reset to "admin")
  4. Go to camera settings → Wireless settings
  5. Select "Get wireless networks" → Choose your home WiFi
  6. Enter your home WiFi password → Apply
